 A journey towards the success of TEJAS

I’m Mrs. Sampada Vijay Chandorkar, TAG-C, cluster Valake, Murud.  I feel very fortunate to share my journey as a TAG Coordinator towards the success of TEJAS project. I’m a witness and also a part of this wonderful project i.e. Journey …… as we see the remarkable progress in TAG teachers’ speaking and communication skills ……. gradually implementing them in students.

          

        TAG teachers are getting well-prepared by the activities in the Resource book which are very skilfully and purposefully arranged in it. TAG teachers in Valake are very eager for attending TAG meeting and participating in all activities given. Teachers confess that they get a lot of chances to express themselves as well as use English fearlessly on the platform of TAG meetings.

They were fascinated by Some activities like My food star, Mystery Bag, Slap the board, Guessing the words by various clues, Onion Ring Circle.

Teachers took these same activities in their classes with proper preparation. They have created parallel and extensive activities too!

         When they share their Students Diaries, and other works, their faces shine with confidence and satisfaction. Articles in Resource book really make teachers more studious. TAG- teachers read, think, discuss and criticize over them. Good and innovative ideas are immediately picked up. e.g. ‘Using Music in learning……’ Music can be used to make calm a loudly speaking class. It can also be used to make class active and cheer up ideas of calm students. It’s practical was very interesting.

         My smart and hardworking TAG teachers accept and say, “Ma’am, we got this confidence due to TAG meetings.” They often suggest new ideas, and for developing reading and speaking skill also. They are inventing new warmer activities, preparing new songs related to teaching topics.

         During the Corona pandemic, there was a challenge but we continued by online TAG Meeting [OTM]. DIET Panvel’s Video Making Competition became a Turning Point in creating Digital material for students. When some Techno-expert teachers created videos for topics in English, other teachers were also motivated by these videos. I would like to thank all Team of DIET Panvel as this Video Making Competition made teachers creating new, innovated and excellent videos on Topics. Our ‘BEO Murud’ you tube channel also launched many educational videos.

         During all this I would like to thank our Resp. Mr. Pakhare sir and [BEO Murud] and Mr. Subhash Patil sir [ Cluster Head of Valake] for providing administrative support. Also thanks to Mr. Sanjay Patil Sir, Mr. Rohan Patil sir [ESA], Mr. Rajendra Latte sir [Project head] and Resp. Thoke ma’am [Principal of DIET] because your support and guidance means a lot for us. It keeps us working hard to achieve the expected goal. A famous poet Robert Frost reminds this by his optimistic lines…….

                        ‘The woods are lovely, dark and deep, 

                         But I have promises to keep,

                         And miles to go before I sleep

                          And miles to go before I sleep.’
